A user-defined report is a search that pre-defined and then saved so that it can be regenerated by you or other users. This is useful if you have a particular search (whether simple or complex), that you need to generate multiple times, rather than re-entering the same search criteria each time that you want to execute the search, you defined the search criteria once, save the search, and then run it when needed. (In AssetWise Director, these searches are referred to as "interactive reports", "interactive searches", or "saved searches".)
